Heading up Truffle Solutions, Damon Boorman brings over 20 years of hands-on experience across every facet of the truffle industry — from plantation management and yield optimisation to truffle dog training and grower consultancy.

Damon has managed some of Australia’s largest truffle farms, including growing Oak Valley Truffles from 2.8 tonnes to 14 tonnes in just five years. His expertise is grounded in real-world results, enriched by time spent living and hunting wild truffles in France, and further sharpened through extensive travel across Europe’s renowned truffle regions, studying and comparing global techniques.

With a background in professional detection dog training for the Australian Border Force, Damon transitioned into the truffle industry in 2004, building a reputation for developing world-class truffle dog teams.

What sets Damon apart is his philosophy: work with nature, not against it. Every plantation is unique, and his tailored programs focus on soil and tree health to achieve sustainable growth and consistently higher yields.
